Ingredients:
190 g Middle Bacon, from the deli
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1/2 Brown Onion, diced small
2 cloves Garlic, minced
550 g Beef Mince
2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
4 slices Natural Tasty Cheese
Round Roll, cut in half
2 large Iceberg Lettuce Leaves, cut in quarters
2 tsp Dijon Mustard

how to make it:
  1. Heat a large sauté pan over medium high heat, add bacon and cook until crisp and golden brown. Remove bacon to a plate lined with paper towels.
  2. Return same pan to medium high heat, add 1 tablespoon of the oil and sauté the onions for 2 to 3 minutes or until softened. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds, then remove pan from the heat and let onion cool.
  3. Preheat a barbecue grill to medium high heat. In a large mixing bowl combine mince with cooled onions, Dijon, Worcestershire, salt and pepper and mix well.
  4. Divide mixture into 4 portions and shape each portion of beef into a pattie. Brush each beefburger with a little of the remaining olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides, then place onto the barbecue grill. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes then flip burgers and place a slice of cheese over each beefburger and cook for a further 2 minutes or until cooked to your liking. Remove from the grill and let burger rest for 2 minutes.
  5. Brush the inside of each bun with a little of the remaining olive oil and cook on the barbecue grill until lightly toasted, then remove. Divide the lettuce among the four beefburger bun bottoms, place a beefburger on top of each bun with lettuce, top with the bacon and the tops of the buns. Serve immediately.
Serve with roasted tomatoes and your favourite sauce
